This urban design project for the Moroccan Capital of Rabat forms part of a far larger urban design project to redefine and revitalise a largely neglected part of the city's seaboard. The project was tackled as part of a team together with Northpoint and Jane Visser Mark Thomas architects. It attempts to unlock the potential of the city's sea-front by directing investment towards this area. This it does by concentrating on forming mixed use nodal activity points at key sites along a new coastal boulevard and by cross-linking the boulevard to the hinterland. The boulevard in-turn links the newer parts of the city to its historic core.
