Specifically catering to the needs of physically handicapped children from the underprivileged townships
of South Eastern Cape Town, Tembaletu School is an established institution that fills a much needed role.
In its drive to expand its services a pre-school facility was required and subsequently followed by a junior secondary school. A successive phase saw the addition of covered bus loading facilities and a new entrance structure to the school complex. The overall intention was to create a robust, hardy and yet user friendly environment with a touch of understated monumentality. All this was achieved within the modest budget of R 2 million for all phases. This project was completed in conjunction with MountfordRussell and Jacky James architecture.
